Our CMT program is modeled to provide students the knowledge and skills necessary in administering medications, whether in an intermediate care or group home, individual home, and assisted living facility.

Training led by a MBON Approved Registered NurseTrainer.

Our Medication Technician training program meets federal and state training requirements of a Certified Medication Technician in the state of Maryland. The program is 20 clock hours. Through virtual lectures, role-playing, group activity, and laboratory practice, the students learn:

• Medication administration and medication technician’s role;

• Medication standard and regulations;

• Observing physical and behavioral changes;

• Reporting and recording changes;

•  Different uses for medication;

• Responsibilities when assisting in a visit to health-care professional (i.e., physician, dentist, Nursing Practitioner).

• Forms of medication and routes of administration;

• Correct storage procedures;

• Basic medication responses and interactions;

• Procedures for safely administering medication; and

• Documentation procedures.

Individual and group classes available. Spanish available upon request.

• Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider ( Renewal, Online (Part II- In Person Skill Demonstration)

• Heartsaver Adult & Pediatrics CPR/AED/ & First Aid (Renewal, Online (Part II- In Person Demonstration)
